Avec Trois & Fell On 3

Scott Reynolds, formerly of the bands Tiller and Strest, is currently involved with two projects. The band Fell On 3 includes Kenny Burns (vocals & guitar), Jeff Beardeaux (drums), Jim Beardsley (bass) and Reynolds on guitar. Their music is in the modern rock genre, which makes sense as Reynolds guitar playing is in the hard rock/ metal vein. They have been together five years and have a CD titled Sympathetic Resonance and are currently recording their sophomore effort at their Cathedral City studio.

His other band, Avec Trois, may be a bit harder to label. With Jennifer Irvine on cello, Jeff Beardeaux on percussion and Reynolds on guitar they blend classical, jazz and rock flavors together to create an unusual musical cocktail. “If I had to pinpoint it, I’d say modern alternative rock,” Reynolds says. “But it’s really hard to define in it’s classification which makes it so unique.” While he is equally passionate about both of his bands he says that this is something totally different from metal shredding. “This allows me to step into a different pair of shoes. Having the cello is like a breath of fresh air musically.”
