The Vein Doctor Is In

Legs! It takes two to tango. Many of us take for granted these two powerful extremities. While youth needs no assistance, as we age its not unusual to find a few unwelcome strange bumps or blue squiggly lines begin to appear. If ignored little bumps can get bigger and varicose veins can be a painful sight.

Over a decade ago, in 2001 Dr. Sanford Greenberg opened The Vein Doctor Medical Group with Dr. Joan Warren and their practice has evolved into a full-service organization of physicians and aestheticians dedicated to beauty and good health being more than skin deep.

It takes a steady hand and a good eyes to provide special treatments eliminating those blue squiggly lines and veiny bumps. Dr. Warren ranks among the first North American physicians to soar through official testing and become certified in phlebology, a new designation of the American Medical Association highlighting vein specialties. Vein Doctor physicians have performed over two million vein-injections and more than 6,000 Endovenous Laser Treatments (EVLT’s), a non-surgical alternative to vein stripping. These same physicians serve as National Laser trainers for physicians across the country.

“Dr. Greenberg is a fantastic, state-of-the-art physician,” says Lucy Schwartzer, a registered nurse and satisfied patient. “He’s big on training, and he’s usually the first one in the desert to come out with new procedures and products.”

Its not just all about veins! Among procedures that Dr. Greenberg and his staff mastered over the years is Smartlipo, a popular alternative to surgical liposuction. Smartlipo permanently reshapes specific parts of the body (arms, abdomen, thighs, etc.) in a few hours melting away inches and tightening skin in one office visit. This offers significantly less downtime and fewer side effects than traditional liposuction.

Skin and facial treatments include Fotofacials reverse sun-damage and uneven skin tones; Thermage, which results in smoother, tighter and younger-looking skin without injections or surgery.

Elayna Freiberg, a licensed esthetician, shares the physicians and colleagues’ passion for radiant, good health. As a trained esthetician herself, Mrs. Freiberg has been a dynamic force expanding The Vein Doctor practice and product line.

“We really focus on the whole person, the full life of the patient,” says Elayna, adding that both health and beauty originate at a cellular level. The business recently partnered with The Body Deli in Palm Desert on Highway 111. The Deli is a locally owned pioneer in fresh, raw, organic skin and body care. Other natural, environmentally friendly skin care products can be found at the office Beauty Bar.

The exclusive SuperFoods Facial, for example, provides an extreme nutritional treat for the skin, and a therapeutic experience for the patient. They also host regular seminars, events and celebrations, like a Mother’s Day Beauty Brunch, Girls’ Nights Out – and their Skin Health Challenge as well as other educational events.

“We see men and women of all ages and we treat everyone as an individual,” stresses Dr. Greenberg. “Everyone has different needs, expectations, style and monetary values. We really respect that. Our goal is to empower the individual patient.”

Jasmine Nicole Naziri

Local Palm Desert resident and twenty year old college student Jasmine Nicole Naziri is representing Iran this summer for the Miss Asia 2010 Pageant, Aug 21. Jasmine has been signing, song writing, dancing and acting since the age of eight with Broadway shows and Opera. While working with four top modeling agencies she always makes time to participate with charity fundraising fashion shows while pursuing a music career.

Jasmine has appeared in local theatrical productions of Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera and Kiss Me Kate and has been helping women and children of domestic violence by public speaking.
While collaborating with people from major record labels such as Universal and Warner Brothers and has co-written multiple tracks. Miss Naziri is also a demo singer for female pop sensations Rihanna, Keri Hilson and JoJo, to name a few.

Jasmine is also 2011’s Newport Coast representative in Donald Trump’s Miss California USA Pageant scheduled in November and televised on NBC. Jasmine is proud of her legs which she uses to stand on, to exercise with and to occasionally dance.
